Yesterday we were proud to celebrate European Day of Languages by inviting our students to bring in items that celebrated the food and culture of their country of heritage.

Birchwood High School Open Evening: Thursday 3 October 4:30pm-7:30pm. The Principal's Presentations will take place at 4:30, 5:15, 6:00 and 6:45pm. These do not require any prior booking. Tickets will be handed out on the night as you sign in. Tours of the school will be hosted by our current Year 7s throughout the night. We look forward to seeing you there!

Today we welcomed leading study skills company Elevate Education to the school. All our new Year 11s were given a whole host of tips and strategies to make their revision in the lead up to their final exams as effective as possible.

DofE Gold Assessment passed Congratulations to all. They will be back at school by 8pm. We will post an update when they are 1 hr away.

The Music Department would also like to congratulate all the students who took part in our Primary Music Workshop. We were delighted to welcome over 50 musicians to Birchwood from local primary schools. Together with the Birchwood Orchestra, students created a mighty band of over 70, performing 'Funk.com' and 'Star Wars Theme'. We'd like to thank all the primary school's students and staff, particularly Mr Foster and Mr Fone from the Herts Music Service, for helping organize the event and rehearsing on the day.
